Julie Ann is an elementary teacher by trade and earned her master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Austin. Currently, she is an associate booking agent at the Booking Biz. Through the Booking Biz, she engages with librarians throughout the US and the world. Julie Ann and her husband, Doug, graduated from Wake Forest in 1990. They raised four boys in Austin, Texas who all attended Wake Forest for undergrad. Two of the four are double Deacs. Julie Ann and Doug attend Covenant Presbyterian Church where they have both served as elders. When Julie Ann is not writing or reading kid lit, you may find her baking chocolate chip cookies, hanging out with her family, volunteering as a therapy dog team with her English Cream Retriever Rey, or cheering on the Demon Deacons.
