One of my mentors was a professor who also worked with college students through the Center for Christian Study at the University of Virginia. In part because of that relationship, I went to Duke Divinity School to study theology and discern a call to ministry. That graduate school experience eventually led to administrative opportunities in Christian higher education, which then led me to law school at Wake Forest University. My family and I have lived in Winston-Salem ever since then, and we are active members at First Presbyterian Church downtown.
