About the event
Come have lunch with licensed counselor Martha Metzler at the study center and discuss how rush can sometimes lead to grieve unmet hopes or fighting shame reinforced by cultural systems of ranking and exclusion. Rather than chasing belonging in systems of the world that are temporary and conditional, we can be reminded that our belonging is rooted in being fully known and fully loved by God.
This talk will offer hope, reminding students that while rush may shape a chapter of their story, it does not determine their value—and their truest home is found not in the world’s affirmation, but as daughters and sons of the King. Whether you had an amazing experience with rush, or one that felt discouraging at times, we could all use the reminder that our self-worth is not tied to who others say we are, but rather, who God says we are.
